The NitLab project involved the conversion of a former warehouse in Volos, Greece, into a dynamic working space for an emerging start-up. The design was carefully planned to foster collaboration, creativity, and productivity among the young employees.

Floorplan

The workspace is organized across three levels. The upper floor houses the main offices and a lunch area, creating a focused environment for daily operations and team meals. On the ground floor, a vast multipurpose space has been designed to accommodate a variety of activities, from meetings and presentations to informal gatherings. The basement is dedicated to storage and infrastructure facilities, ensuring that essential functions are efficiently managed without disrupting the main work areas.

Throughout the building, the design emphasizes common areas over private desks to encourage team building, social interaction, and brainstorming. This approach aims to nurture a sense of community and collaboration among employees, which is vital for the growth of a start-up.

Architecturally, vibrant yet subtle colors and shapes are employed to create a fun and inspiring environment. The design strikes a balance, ensuring the space is lively and creative without being distracting, allowing employees to feel both inspired and focused within a pleasant atmosphere.
